Cooking Instructions
- 1
Prepare Chicken
Slice chicken breasts into strips and place them in a bowl.
- 2
Marinate in Buttermilk
Pour buttermilk over the chicken strips, ensuring they are fully submerged. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours (or overnight for best results).
- 3
Prepare Breading Mixture
In a separate bowl, combine flour, cornstarch, salt, black pepper, paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix well.
- 4
Heat Oil
In a large skillet or deep fryer, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).
- 5
Bread the Chicken
Remove chicken from buttermilk, allowing excess to drip off. Dredge each piece in the flour mixture, pressing lightly to adhere.
- 6
Fry the Chicken
Carefully place the breaded chicken strips in the hot oil, frying in batches if necessary. Cook for 4-5 minutes on each side or until golden brown and cooked through.
- 7
Drain and Serve
Remove chicken from the oil and drain on paper towels. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauces.
