Cobbler

Method

Cobbler

  1. 1

    Prepare the Fruit Filling

In a large bowl, combine sliced peaches, blueberries, and 1/2 cup of sugar. Toss gently to coat the fruit. Let it sit for about 15 minutes to release juices.

  2. 2

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

  3. 3

    Mix Dry Ingredients

In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, and remaining sugar.

  4. 4

    Combine Wet Ingredients

In a separate bowl, mix together milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract. Combine this with the dry ingredients until just mixed.

  5. 5

    Assemble the Cobbler

Spread the fruit mixture evenly in a greased 9x13 inch baking dish. Pour the batter over the fruit, spreading it gently.

  6. 6

    Bake

Bake in the preheated oven for about 40-45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the batter comes out clean.
