Ice Cream Base

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Make the Ice Cream Base

In a mixing bowl, whisk together the heavy cream, whole milk, sugar, honey, goat cheese, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt until well combined and smooth.

  2. 2

    Chill the Mixture

Cover the mixture with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or until completely chilled.

  3. 3

    Churn the Ice Cream

Pour the chilled mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer's instructions until it reaches a soft-serve consistency.

  4. 4

    Add Walnuts

During the last few minutes of churning, add the chopped walnuts, allowing them to mix evenly into the ice cream.

  5. 5

    Freeze

Transfer the churned ice cream to an airtight container and freeze for at least 4 hours or until firm.

  6. 6

    Serve

Scoop the honey goat cheese walnut ice cream into bowls and enjoy!
