Preparation Steps
Cook the Pasta
In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
Prepare the Chicken
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Season the chicken breasts with salt and black pepper.
Breading the Chicken
Dredge each chicken breast in flour, shaking off the excess. Dip into beaten eggs, then coat with breadcrumbs.
Fry the Chicken
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Fry the breaded chicken breasts for about 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown.
Assemble the Dish
In a baking dish, spread half of the marinara sauce. Place the fried chicken breasts on top and cover with the remaining marinara sauce. Sprinkle with fontina, provolone, and parmesan cheese.
Bake
Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Serve
Serve the chicken parmesan over the cooked pasta, garnished with fresh basil.
