Prepare the cocktail shaker
Fill a cocktail shaker with ice.
Combine ingredients
Add La Muerte Mezcal, Ghost Tequila, Amaro, pomegranate juice, fresh lime juice, saline solution, and simple syrup to the shaker.
Shake well
Shake the mixture vigorously for about 15 seconds until well chilled.
Strain and serve
Strain the mixture into a chilled cocktail glass.
Garnish
Garnish with a whole star anise floated on top.
