Catfish Slider Ingredients

Method

Preparation Steps

  1. 1

    Prepare the Catfish

In a large bowl, mix together cornmeal, flour, Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper. In another bowl, whisk together eggs and buttermilk.

  2. 2

    Coat the Catfish

Dip the catfish fillets into the egg mixture, then coat them in the cornmeal mixture.

  3. 3

    Fry the Catfish

Heat oil in a deep skillet over medium heat. Fry the catfish fillets in batches for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and drain on paper towels.

  4. 4

    Assemble the Sliders

Toast the slider buns lightly. Place a fried catfish fillet on the bottom half of each bun, top with a lettuce leaf, a slice of tomato, and a generous dollop of tartar sauce. Close with the top half of the bun.

  5. 5

    Serve

Serve the catfish sliders warm with additional tartar sauce on the side.
