Candied Jalapeños
Method
Candied Jalapeños Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Jalapeños
Wash the jalapeños thoroughly. Slice them into rings, removing the seeds if you prefer a milder flavor.
- 2
Cook the Mixture
In a saucepan, combine the water, sugar, apple cider vinegar, and salt. Bring the mixture to a simmer over medium heat, stirring until the sugar is fully dissolved.
- 3
Add the Jalapeños
Once the sugar mixture is simmering, add the sliced jalapeños. Stir to ensure they are fully submerged in the liquid.
- 4
Simmer and Cool
Allow the jalapeños to simmer in the syrup for about 10-15 minutes. Remove from heat and let them cool in the syrup.
- 5
Store
Transfer the candied jalapeños and syrup into a clean jar. Seal tightly and refrigerate for up to 2 weeks.
