Lemonade

Iced Tea

Method

Lemonade Preparation

  1. 1

    Juicing the Lemons

Roll the lemons on a hard surface to soften them, then cut them in half and juice them using a citrus juicer. Strain the juice to remove seeds and pulp.

  2. 2

    Making Lemonade

In a pitcher, combine the fresh lemon juice, granulated sugar, and 4 cups of water. Stir well until the sugar is fully dissolved. Adjust sweetness to taste by adding more sugar if desired.

Iced Tea Preparation

  1. 3

    Brewing the Tea

In a heatproof container, steep the black tea bags in 4 cups of boiling water for about 5 minutes. Remove the tea bags and stir in 1 cup of granulated sugar while the tea is still warm.

  2. 4

    Diluting the Tea

After the sugar has dissolved, add 4 cups of cold water to the brewed tea. Stir well to combine.

Combining Lemonade and Iced Tea

  1. 5

    Mixing the Drinks

In a large pitcher, combine equal parts of the prepared lemonade and iced tea. Stir gently to mix.

  2. 6

    Serving

Serve the 50/50 drink over ice in tall glasses. Garnish with lemon slices or mint leaves if desired.
