Brownie Ingredients

Method

Brownie Preparation

  1. 1

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13 inch baking pan.

  2. 2

    Melt Butter

In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Remove from heat and stir in the granulated sugar and brown sugar until well combined.

  3. 3

    Add Eggs and Vanilla

Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.

  4. 4

    Combine Dry Ingredients

In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Gradually add this to the butter-sugar mixture, stirring until just combined.

  5. 5

    Add Chocolate Chips

Fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed.

  6. 6

    Bake the Brownies

Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.

  7. 7

    Cool and Serve

Remove from the oven and let the brownies cool in the pan for at least 10 minutes. Cut into squares and serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
