Cooking Instructions
Marinate the Chicken
In a large bowl, combine the buttermilk, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika. Add the chicken pieces, making sure they are fully submerged. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, preferably overnight.
Prepare the Horseradish Honey Mustard
In a small bowl, mix together the horseradish and honey until well combined. Set aside.
Cook the Chicken
For Grilling: Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Remove chicken from the marinade and discard the marinade. Grill chicken for about 6-8 minutes per side, or until cooked through and internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C). For Frying: Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Dredge marinated chicken in flour (if using) and fry for about 5-7 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through.
Assemble the Dish
On a plate, layer lettuce, followed by the cooked chicken. Top with pickled red onion, sprouts, and sliced pickles. Drizzle with horseradish honey mustard before serving.
