Method

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Pork Chops

Season the pork chops with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Allow them to marinate for at least 30 minutes.

  2. 2

    Fry the Pork Chops

In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the pork chops and fry for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and set aside.

  3. 3

    Cook the Yellow Rice

In a pot, heat a little olive oil over medium heat. Add the diced onion and garlic, and sauté until the onion is translucent.

  4. 4

    Add Vegetables

Stir in the diced carrots, bell pepper, and green peas. Cook for another 3-4 minutes.

  5. 5

    Cook the Rice

Add the rice to the pot and stir well. Pour in the chicken broth and add turmeric and salt. Bring to a boil.

  6. 6

    Simmer the Rice

Once boiling, reduce the heat to low, cover, and let it simmer for about 20 minutes or until the rice is cooked and liquid is absorbed.

  7. 7

    Serve

Fluff the rice with a fork, serve alongside the fried pork chops.
