Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Rice

In a medium saucepan, add 1 cup of rice and 2 cups of water. Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat to low, cover, and simmer for about 15-20 minutes or until the rice is tender and the water is absorbed. Fluff with a fork and set aside.

  2. 2

    Cook the Potatoes

Peel and cut the potatoes into thin strips to make fries. Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Add the potato strips and fry until golden brown and crispy. Season with salt and set aside.

  3. 3

    Cook the Steak

Season the beef steak with salt, black pepper, and paprika. In the same pan used for the fries, add another tablespoon of olive oil. Sear the steak for about 3-4 minutes on each side or until it reaches your desired doneness. Add minced garlic during the last minute of cooking for added flavor.

  4. 4

    Fry the Bananas

In another pan, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil. Slice the bananas in half lengthwise and fry them cut-side down for about 2-3 minutes until they are golden brown.

  5. 5

    Plate the Dish

On a plate, serve a portion of rice, top with the steak, add a side of fries and fried bananas. Garnish with fresh cilantro and a wedge of lime.
