Cooking Instructions
- 1
Prepare the Ingredients
Begin by cutting the chicken or steak into small bite-sized pieces. Season with salt and pepper.
- 2
Cook the Protein
In a large skillet or wok, heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Add the chicken or steak and cook until browned and fully cooked, about 5-7 minutes. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
- 3
Sauté the Vegetables
In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of oil. Add onion, garlic, green bell pepper, and carrot. Sauté for about 3-4 minutes until the vegetables are tender.
- 4
Fry the Rice
Add the cooked rice to the skillet with the sautéed vegetables. Pour in the soy sauce and stir well to combine. Cook for another 3-4 minutes, allowing the rice to fry slightly.
- 5
Add Eggs and Protein
Push the rice mixture to the side of the skillet. Crack the eggs into the empty space and scramble them. Once cooked, mix the scrambled eggs into the rice. Finally, add the cooked chicken or steak and green onions, stirring everything together.

Serve
Taste and adjust seasoning with additional salt and pepper if needed. Serve hot and enjoy your Arroz Chaufa!
