Gyoza Filling

Method

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Filling

In a large bowl, combine the ground pork, chopped cabbage, green onions, minced garlic, minced ginger, soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, and pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.

  2. 2

    Assemble the Gyoza

Place a gyoza wrapper in your palm and spoon about 1 tablespoon of filling into the center. Moisten the edges of the wrapper with water, fold it in half, and pinch the edges to seal. Use your fingers to create pleats along the sealed edge for a decorative touch.

  3. 3

    Cook the Gyoza

Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and add a tablespoon of oil. Place the gyoza in the skillet, flat side down. Cook for 2-3 minutes until the bottoms are golden brown. Carefully add ¼ cup of water to the skillet and cover immediately. Allow the gyoza to steam for about 5 minutes until the water has evaporated.

  4. 4

    Serve

Remove the lid and let the gyoza cook for another minute to crisp up the bottoms. Serve hot with soy sauce or dipping sauce of your choice.
