Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the broccoli

Wash the broccoli florets thoroughly and cut them into smaller pieces if needed.

  2. 2

    Make the sauce

In a small bowl, mix together the yuzu kosho and Japanese mayo until well combined.

Frying

  1. 3

    Heat the oil

In a deep skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).

  2. 4

    Fry the broccoli

Carefully add the broccoli florets to the hot oil in batches, frying for about 3-4 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.

  3. 5

    Drain the broccoli

Using a slotted spoon, remove the fried broccoli and place it on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.

Serving

  1. 6

    Plate and garnish

Arrange the fried broccoli on a serving plate, drizzle with the yuzu kosho mayo, and sprinkle with chopped chives before serving.
