Prepare Shrimp

Boil Water
In a large pot, bring 4 cups of water to a boil.

Add Seasonings
Once the water is boiling, add the halved lemon and Old Bay seasoning.

Cook Shrimp
Add the shrimp to the boiling water and cook for about 2-3 minutes, or until they turn pink and opaque.

Chill Shrimp
Remove the shrimp with a slotted spoon and transfer them to an ice bath to stop the cooking process. Let them chill for about 5 minutes.
Prepare Cocktail Sauce

Mix Ingredients
In a small bowl, combine ketchup, horseradish, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, and hot sauce (if using). Stir until well mixed.

Taste and Adjust
Taste the cocktail sauce and adjust the horseradish or hot sauce according to your preference.
Serve

Plate Shrimp
Arrange the chilled shrimp on a serving platter.

Serve with Sauce
Serve the shrimp with the cocktail sauce on the side for dipping.
