Main Ingredients

Marinade

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Shrimp

If using frozen shrimp, thaw them completely and pat dry with paper towels. If using fresh shrimp, ensure they are peeled and deveined.

Marinade

  1. 2

    Make the Marinade

In a mixing bowl, combine olive oil, minced garlic, lemon juice, paprika, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes. Whisk together until well blended.

  2. 3

    Marinate the Shrimp

Add the shrimp to the marinade and toss to coat evenly. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and let it marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes, but not longer than 2 hours.

Grilling

  1. 4

    Preheat the Grill

Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. If using a grill pan, heat it over medium-high heat on the stovetop.

  2. 5

    Skewer the Shrimp

If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for at least 30 minutes to prevent burning. Thread the marinated shrimp onto the skewers, leaving a little space between each shrimp.

  3. 6

    Grill the Shrimp

Place the skewers on the preheated grill. Grill for about 2-3 minutes on each side, or until the shrimp turn pink and opaque. Avoid overcooking, as shrimp can become tough.

Serving

  1. 7

    Serve

Remove the shrimp skewers from the grill and let them rest for a couple of minutes. Serve hot with your choice of dipping sauce or a fresh salad.
