Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Pork
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Season the Fischer Farms roast pork loin with salt, pepper, and any additional spices you desire. Place the pork in a roasting pan and cook in the oven for about 25-30 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C). Let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing it thinly.
- 2
Gather the Ingredients
While the pork is roasting, gather all other ingredients: ham slices, Gruyere cheese, pickled onions, and pickled jalapeno peppers.
Assembly
- 3
Assemble the Cubano
Slice the rolls in half horizontally. On the bottom half of each roll, layer the sliced roast pork, followed by the ham, Gruyere cheese, pickled onions, and pickled jalapeno peppers. Top with the other half of the roll.
Grilling
- 4
Grill the Sandwiches
Preheat a panini press or a skillet over medium heat. If using a skillet, add a small amount of butter to the pan. Place the assembled sandwiches in the pan or press. Cook for about 3-5 minutes on each side, or until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted.
