Beef Patty Preparation

Mix the Beef
In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, and black pepper. Use your hands to gently mix until the spices are evenly distributed throughout the meat.

Form Patties
Divide the beef mixture into two equal portions and shape each portion into a patty, making a slight indentation in the center to prevent puffing during cooking.

Add Cheese
After flipping the patties, place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty. Cook for an additional 3-4 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the patties reach your desired level of doneness.
Assembling the Cheeseburger

Prepare the Buns
While the patties are cooking, toast the burger buns on the grill or in a toaster until they are golden brown.

Add Special Sauce
Spread 2 tablespoons of special sauce on the bottom half of each toasted bun.

Layer the Ingredients
Place a leaf of lettuce on top of the sauce, followed by a slice of tomato, a slice of onion, and finally the cooked beef patty with melted cheese.

Add the top half of the bun to complete the burger.
