Cake Preparation

Melt Chocolate and Butter
In a medium saucepan, combine the unsweetened chocolate and unsalted butter over low heat. Stir continuously until melted and smooth. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.

Mix Sugar and Eggs
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the granulated sugar, large eggs, and large egg yolks until well combined and slightly frothy.

Combine Mixtures
Slowly pour the melted chocolate mixture into the egg mixture while whisking continuously to combine. Add in the vanilla extract and mix well.

Add Dry Ingredients
Sift the all-purpose flour and add it to the batter along with a pinch of salt. Gently fold until just combined, being careful not to overmix.

Fill Ramekins
Divide the batter evenly among the prepared ramekins, filling each about 3/4 full.

Bake
Place the ramekins on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 12-14 minutes, or until the edges are firm but the center is still soft.

Cool Slightly
Remove from the oven and let the cakes cool in the ramekins for 1-2 minutes.
