Pecan Pie Ingredients
Method
Pecan Pie Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Crust
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Roll out the pie crust and fit it into a 9-inch pie dish. Trim any excess crust hanging over the edges and crimp the edges if desired.
- 2
Toast the Pecans
Spread the pecans on a baking sheet and toast them in the preheated oven for about 8-10 minutes until fragrant. Remove from oven and let cool.
- 3
Mix the Filling
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the granulated sugar, brown sugar, corn syrup, melted butter, vanilla extract, and salt until well combined. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- 4
Add Pecans
Fold the toasted pecans into the filling mixture.
- 5
Pour and Bake
Pour the filling into the prepared pie crust. Bake in the preheated oven for 50-60 minutes, or until the filling is set and a knife inserted in the center comes out clean.
- 6
Cool and Serve
Once baked, remove the pie from the oven and let it cool on a wire rack. Serve warm or at room temperature, optionally topped with whipped cream.
