Serving

Method

Preparation

1

Prepare the Pork

In a bowl, mix brown sugar, paprika, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and cayenne pepper. Rub the mixture all over the pork shoulder. Wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 8 hours, preferably overnight.

2

Cook the Pork

Preheat the oven to 300°F (150°C). Place the pork shoulder in a roasting pan and pour the apple cider vinegar and water around it. Cover the pan tightly with aluminum foil and bake for approximately 6 hours or until the pork is fork-tender.

Finishing

3

Shred the Pork

Remove the pork from the oven and let it rest for 30 minutes. Using two forks, shred the pork into bite-sized pieces.

4

Serve

Serve the pulled pork on buns topped with coleslaw and drizzled with BBQ sauce.
