Dip each chicken breast in buttermilk, then dredge in all-purpose flour seasoned with salt and black pepper until well coated.

In a large skillet, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, carefully add the battered chicken breasts. Fry until golden brown and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes per side. Remove and drain on paper towels.
