Method
Prepare Croutons
- 1
Make Garlic Oil
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). In a small saucepan, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
- 2
Cut Baguette
Slice the baguette into 1-inch cubes and place them in a mixing bowl. Pour the garlic oil over the cubes, and toss to coat evenly.
- 3
Season and Bake
Sprinkle salt and black pepper over the bread cubes. Spread them out on a baking sheet and bake for about 10-15 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy, tossing halfway through.
Prepare Dressing
- 4
Combine Dressing Ingredients
In a medium bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper until smooth and creamy.
Assemble Salad
- 5
Prepare Lettuce
Wash and dry the romaine lettuce. Tear it into bite-sized pieces and place it in a large salad bowl.
- 6
Add Anchovies and Croutons
Top the lettuce with marinated white anchovies and homemade garlic croutons.
- 7
Add Dressing
Drizzle the prepared dressing over the salad and toss gently to combine all ingredients.
- 8
Finish with Parmesan
Grate the parmesan cheese over the top of the salad before serving.
