Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Steak

Remove the ribeye steak from the refrigerator and let it come to room temperature for about 30 minutes. This helps the steak cook evenly.

  2. 2

    Season the Steak

Generously season the steak on both sides with kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper. Make sure to coat the edges as well.

  3. 3

    Preheat the Grill or Pan

If using a grill, preheat it to high heat. If using a cast-iron skillet, heat it on medium-high heat on the stovetop. Add olive oil to the skillet if using.

  4. 4

    Sear the Steak

Place the ribeye on the grill or in the skillet. Sear for about 4-5 minutes on one side, without moving it, to develop a nice crust.

  5. 5

    Flip and Add Aromatics

Flip the steak and add rosemary sprigs and crushed garlic cloves to the skillet or grill. Sear for another 4-5 minutes for medium-rare, adjusting the time based on your desired doneness.

  6. 6

    Rest the Steak

Remove the steak from the heat and let it rest for at least 10 minutes before slicing. This allows the juices to redistribute.

  7. 7

    Serve

Slice the ribeye against the grain and serve with your favorite sides.
