In a large bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, ground cinnamon, and salt.

In another bowl, combine the mashed sweet potato, milk, egg, vanilla extract, and maple syrup. Mix until smooth.

Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Do not overmix.
