Method

Pickling Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Cucumbers

Wash the cucumbers thoroughly under cold water. Cut off the ends and slice them into spears or leave them whole, depending on your preference.

  2. 2

    Make the Pickling Brine

In a large pot, combine water, white vinegar, and kosher salt. Bring the mixture to a boil, stirring until the salt is fully dissolved.

  3. 3

    Add Seasonings

Remove the pot from heat and add garlic cloves, fresh dill, black peppercorns, mustard seeds, and red pepper flakes. Allow the brine to cool slightly.

  4. 4

    Pack the Jars

In sterilized jars, pack the cucumbers tightly. Pour the warm brine over the cucumbers, ensuring they are fully submerged.

  5. 5

    Seal and Store

Seal the jars with lids and allow them to cool to room temperature. Once cooled, refrigerate the pickles for at least 24 hours before enjoying.
