Preparation of Meats

Marinate the Meats
In a bowl, combine the carne asada steak and chicken breast with olive oil, cumin, chili powder, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Cover and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.

Grill the Meats
Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Grill the carne asada for about 5-7 minutes on each side until cooked to your desired doneness. Grill the chicken breast for about 6-8 minutes on each side, or until fully cooked (internal temperature of 165°F). Remove from heat and let rest before slicing.

Sauté the Peppers and Onions
Slice the bell peppers and onion into thin strips. In a large skillet, heat a tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced peppers and onions, and sauté for about 5-7 minutes until they are softened and slightly caramelized. Season with a pinch of salt.

Slice the Meats
Once the grilled meats have rested, slice them into thin strips.

Assemble the Fajitas
In a warm flour tortilla, layer the sautéed peppers and onions, followed by the sliced carne asada and chicken. Top with guacamole, sour cream, shredded cheese, and pico de gallo.
