Method
Main Dish Preparation
- 1
Cook the Ground Beef
In a large skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef. Cook, breaking it apart with a spatula until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
- 2
Add Taco Seasoning
Once the beef is browned, drain any excess fat. Add the taco seasoning and 2/3 cup of water. Stir well to combine, bring to a simmer, and cook for an additional 5 minutes until the sauce thickens.
- 3
Prepare Taco Shells
While the beef is cooking, preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Arrange taco shells on a baking sheet and warm in the oven for about 5 minutes to make them crispy.
- 4
Assemble Tacos
Remove the taco shells from the oven. Fill each shell with the taco meat, then top with shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, shredded cheese, and a dollop of sour cream.
Chips and Salsa Preparation
- 5
Serve Chips
Open the bag of tortilla chips and pour them into a serving bowl.
- 6
Serve Salsa
Pour the salsa into a separate bowl for dipping.
