House Sour Mix Ingredients

Method

Jalapeño Syrup Preparation

  1. 1

    Make the Jalapeño Syrup

In a saucepan, combine 1 cup of water and 1 cup of granulated sugar. Heat over medium heat until the sugar dissolves completely. Add sliced jalapeño and bring to a gentle simmer. Allow to simmer for about 10 minutes. Remove from heat and let it cool. Strain the syrup to remove jalapeño slices and store in a sealed container in the refrigerator.

House Sour Mix Preparation

  1. 2

    Prepare the House Sour Mix

In a cocktail shaker, combine 1 oz of fresh lemon juice, 1 oz of fresh lime juice, and 1 oz of simple syrup. Shake well until combined. Strain into a clean container and refrigerate until ready to use.

Cocktail Preparation

  1. 3

    Prepare the Glass

Take a cocktail glass and run a lime wedge around the rim. Dip the rim into a mixture of salt and freshly cracked black pepper to coat the rim evenly.

  2. 4

    Shake the Cocktail

In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, combine 2 oz of Exotico Reposado Tequila, 1 oz of jalapeño syrup, and 1 oz of house sour mix. Shake vigorously until well chilled.

  3. 5

    Serve the Cocktail

Strain the mixture into the prepared glass. Optionally, garnish with a slice of jalapeño or a lime wedge. Serve immediately and enjoy your Spicy Pina!
