Churro Cake

House-Made Whipped Cream

Method

Churro Cake

  1. 1

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13 inch baking pan.

  2. 2

    Mix Dry Ingredients

In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, ground cinnamon, and salt until well combined.

  3. 3

    Beat Wet Ingredients

In another bowl, beat the eggs and then mix in the milk, vanilla extract, and melted butter until fully incorporated.

  4. 4

    Combine Mixtures

Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Do not overmix.

  5. 5

    Bake

Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and smooth the top. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

  6. 6

    Add Cinnamon Sugar

Once baked, remove the cake from the oven and immediately sprinkle the cinnamon sugar over the top while it's still warm.

  7. 7

    Cool

Allow the cake to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before slicing.

House-Made Whipped Cream

  1. 8

    Prepare Whipping Cream

In a mixing bowl, add the heavy whipping cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract.

  2. 9

    Whip Cream

Using an electric mixer, beat the mixture on medium-high speed until soft peaks form.

  3. 10

    Serve

Serve the churro cake warm with a generous dollop of house-made whipped cream on top.
