Chicken Wings and Breading
Method
Preparation and Cooking
- 1
Prepare the Wings
Rinse the chicken wings under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels.
- 2
Make the Breading Mixture
In a large bowl, combine the flour, cornstarch, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
- 3
- 4
Bread the Wings
Dip each wing into the egg mixture, then coat it in the flour mixture. Make sure to cover each wing thoroughly.
- 5
Heat the Oil
In a deep fryer or large pot, heat oil to 350°F (175°C).
- 6
Fry the Wings
Carefully add the breaded wings to the hot oil, frying in batches if necessary to avoid overcrowding. Fry for about 10-12 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through.
- 7
Drain and Serve
Remove the wings from the oil and place them on a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil. Serve hot with your choice of sauce or leave them naked for dipping.
