Meatballs

Method

Meatballs Preparation

1

Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) to prepare for baking the meatballs.

2

Mix Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, minced garlic, egg, red pepper flakes, salt, black pepper, and chopped parsley. Mix thoroughly until well combined.

3

Form Meatballs

Using your hands, form the mixture into meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter, and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

4

Bake Meatballs

Bake the meatballs in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until they are cooked through and browned on the outside.

Spicy Marinara Sauce Preparation

5

Heat Olive Oil

In a large saucepan, heat olive oil over medium heat.

6

Cook Garlic

Add minced garlic to the saucepan and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.

7

Add Tomatoes and Spices

Stir in crushed tomatoes, red pepper flakes, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper. Bring to a simmer.

8

Simmer Sauce

Allow the sauce to simmer for 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until it thickens slightly. Stir in fresh basil just before serving.

Serving

9

Combine and Serve

Once the meatballs are done baking, add them to the simmering spicy marinara sauce. Let them cook together for an additional 5 minutes. Serve hot, garnished with extra parsley if desired.
