Basic Tomato Sauce

Sauté Aromatics

In a saucepan, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and sauté until translucent, about 5 minutes. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for an additional 1 minute until fragrant.

Add Tomatoes and Seasoning

Stir in the canned crushed tomatoes, dried oregano, salt, and pepper. Bring the mixture to a simmer.

Simmer

Reduce the heat to low and let the sauce simmer for about 20-30 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Finish with Basil

Remove from heat and stir in the chopped fresh basil. Adjust seasoning if necessary before serving.

Creamy Alfredo Sauce

Melt Butter

In a large saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.

Add Cream and Garlic

Once melted, add the heavy cream and minced garlic. Stir well and bring to a gentle simmer, cooking for about 5 minutes.

Add Cheese and Season

Gradually whisk in the grated Parmesan cheese, salt, and pepper until fully melted and combined.

Remove from heat and serve immediately over pasta or your choice of dish.

Blend Ingredients

In a food processor, combine the fresh basil leaves, pine nuts, minced garlic, and grated Parmesan cheese. Pulse until coarsely blended.

Add Olive Oil and Season

While the processor is running, slowly drizzle in the olive oil until the mixture is smooth. Add salt to taste.

Use immediately or store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week.
