    Prepare the Patties

    In a large bowl, combine ground beef, ground pork, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and Worcestershire sauce. Mix gently until just combined.

    Form and Cook

    Divide the mixture into two equal portions and form into patties. Heat a skillet or grill over medium-high heat and cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until they reach desired doneness.

    Melt the Cheese

    In the last minute of cooking, place the cheddar cheese on top of each patty and cover to allow the cheese to melt.

    Assemble the Burgers

    Toast the burger buns if desired. Place a lettuce leaf on the bottom bun, followed by the patty with melted cheese, tomato slices, pickles, and your choice of ketchup and mustard. Top with the other half of the bun.

    Serve

    Serve the burgers immediately with your favorite side.
