Pizza Dough and Toppings

Method

Preparation and Baking

  1. 1

    Make the Dough

In a bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until it becomes frothy. In a large mixing bowl, combine flour and salt. Make a well in the center, add the yeast mixture and olive oil. Stir until it forms a dough.

  2. 2

    Knead the Dough

Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic. Place in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.

  3. 3

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C). If using a pizza stone, place it in the oven to heat up.

  4. 4

    Prepare the Pizza Base

Once the dough has risen, punch it down and roll it out on a floured surface to your desired thickness. Transfer to a pizza stone or baking sheet.

  5. 5

    Add Toppings

Spread the tomato sauce evenly over the dough. Tear the fresh mozzarella into pieces and distribute on top of the sauce. Sprinkle with the signature cheese blend, Italian seasoning, and red pepper flakes to taste. Add fresh basil leaves.

  6. 6

    Bake the Pizza

Bake in the preheated oven for about 12-15 minutes or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbling.

  7. 7

    Serve

Remove the pizza from the oven, let it cool for a couple of minutes, slice, and serve hot.
