Preparing the Tea

Boil Water
In a medium saucepan, bring 4 cups of water to a rolling boil.

Once the water is boiling, remove it from heat and add 4 tablespoons of Thai black tea leaves. Let the tea steep for about 5-7 minutes.

Strain Tea
After steeping, strain the tea leaves using a fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth into a heatproof pitcher. Discard the leaves.
Sweetening the Tea

While the tea is still warm, stir in 1 tablespoon of sugar until fully dissolved.

Allow the tea to cool to room temperature or refrigerate it to chill.

In a tall glass, add ice cubes to fill it halfway.
