Method

Pasta Preparation

  1. 1

    Cook the Cavatappi

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add 12 oz of cavatappi pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Seafood Preparation

  1. 2

    Cook the Lobster and Shrimp

In a large skillet, add the lobster meat and shrimp. Cook over medium heat for about 3-4 minutes until the shrimp turns pink and the lobster is heated through. Remove from skillet and set aside.

Mushroom Sauté

  1. 3

    Sauté Wild Mushrooms

In the same skillet, add the sliced wild mushrooms. Sauté for about 5 minutes until they are tender and browned. Remove from heat.

Sauce Combination

  1. 4

    Combine Ingredients

In the same skillet, add 2 cups of tomato cream sauce and bring to a simmer over medium heat. Stir in the sautéed mushrooms, cooked lobster, and shrimp. Mix well.

  2. 5

    Add Cheese

Gradually add 1 cup of grated Parmesan cheese to the sauce, stirring continuously until the cheese is melted and the sauce is creamy.

Final Assembly

  1. 6

    Combine with Pasta

Add the drained cavatappi pasta to the skillet with the seafood and sauce. Toss gently to combine until the pasta is well coated.

  2. 7

    Garnish

Serve the seafood marinara in bowls, garnished with 2 tablespoons of chopped chives.
