Preparation of Ingredients

  1. 1

    Trim the Asparagus

Rinse the asparagus under cold water and trim the tough ends off. Aim for a length of about 5-6 inches.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Balsamic Drizzle

In a small saucepan, combine balsamic vinegar, honey, and olive oil. Bring to a simmer over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the mixture reduces by half and thickens slightly (about 10-15 minutes). Remove from heat and set aside.

Wrapping Asparagus

  1. 3

    Wrap with Prosciutto

Take a slice of prosciutto and gently wrap it around each asparagus spear, starting from the bottom and spiraling up to the tip. Repeat until all asparagus are wrapped.

Cooking the Asparagus

  1. 4

    Bake the Wrapped Asparagus

Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Place the wrapped asparagus on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, ensuring they are not overcrowded. Sprinkle with salt and black pepper.

  2. 5

    Roast

Roast in the preheated oven for 10-15 minutes, or until the prosciutto is crispy and the asparagus is tender.

Finishing Touch

  1. 6

    Drizzle with Balsamic

Once out of the oven, drizzle the balsamic reduction over the prosciutto-wrapped asparagus. Serve warm.
