Crostini Preparation
- 1
Toast the Baguette
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Slice the baguette into 1/2 inch thick pieces. Place them on a baking sheet and brush both sides with olive oil. Bake in the preheated oven for about 10-12 minutes or until golden brown and crispy. Remove from the oven and set aside.
Mushroom Filling Preparation
- 2
Sauté the Mushrooms
In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant. Add the chopped mushrooms and sauté for 5-7 minutes until they release their moisture and become tender.
- 3
Add Roasted Red Pepper
Chop the roasted red pepper into small pieces and add it to the skillet. Season with salt, black pepper, and fresh thyme. Cook for an additional 3-4 minutes, stirring occasionally, until everything is well combined and heated through.
Assembly
- 4
Assemble the Canapes
Take the toasted crostini and spoon a generous amount of the mushroom filling onto each piece. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley.
