Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Cucumber
Wash the cucumber thoroughly under cold water. Grate the cucumber using a box grater or food processor, then place the grated cucumber in a clean kitchen towel or cheesecloth. Squeeze out excess moisture to avoid a watery dip.
- 2
Prepare the Garlic
Peel the garlic cloves and finely mince them using a knife or a garlic press. Set aside.
- 3
Mix the Ingredients
In a medium mixing bowl, combine the Greek yogurt, drained cucumber, minced garlic, olive oil, lemon juice, and chopped dill. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly distributed.
- 4
Season the Dip
Add salt and black pepper to the mixture. Stir well to combine. Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary.
- 5
Chill the Tzatziki
Cover the bowl with plastic wrap or a lid and refrigerate the tzatziki for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together.
