Method
Chicken Preparation
- 1
Cook the Chicken
In a slow cooker, place the chicken breasts and pour half of the BBQ sauce over them. Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours or high for 3-4 hours, until the chicken is tender and easily shreds.
- 2
Shred the Chicken
Once cooked, remove the chicken from the slow cooker and shred it using two forks. Return the shredded chicken to the slow cooker and mix it with the remaining BBQ sauce. Allow it to heat through for about 15 minutes.
Pickles Preparation
- 3
Prepare the Pickles
Slice the pickles into thin rounds or spears, depending on your preference. Set aside.
House Slaw Preparation
- 4
Make the Slaw
In a large bowl, combine the shredded cabbage and carrots. In a separate small bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, sugar, salt, and pepper. Pour the dressing over the cabbage and carrots, and toss until well combined. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
