Method

Hummus Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the chickpeas

Drain and rinse the canned chickpeas under cold water. Set aside.

  2. 2

    Blend ingredients

In a food processor, combine the chickpeas, tahini, garlic cloves (peeled), lemon juice, olive oil, ground cumin, salt, and water.

  3. 3

    Process until smooth

Blend the mixture until smooth and creamy, scraping down the sides as needed. If the hummus is too thick, add a little more water, one tablespoon at a time.

  4. 4

    Taste and adjust

Taste the hummus and adjust seasoning with additional salt or lemon juice if needed.

  5. 5

    Serve

Transfer the hummus to a serving bowl, drizzle with olive oil, and sprinkle paprika on top.

Pita Chips Preparation

  1. 6

    Preheat the oven

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

  2. 7

    Cut the pita bread

Cut the pita bread into triangles or wedges.

  3. 8

    Toss pita with olive oil

In a large bowl, toss the pita pieces with olive oil and salt until well coated.

  4. 9

    Bake the pita chips

Arrange the pita pieces in a single layer on a baking sheet and bake for about 10-15 minutes, or until golden and crispy.

Crudités Preparation

  1. 10

    Prepare the vegetables

Wash and peel (if necessary) the carrots, cucumber, and bell pepper. Cut the carrots into sticks, slice the cucumber into rounds, and chop the bell pepper into strips.
