For the Cajun Salmon Burger

Method

For the Cajun Salmon Burger

  1. 1

    Prepare the Salmon

Preheat your grill or stovetop pan over medium-high heat. Pat the salmon fillet dry with paper towels and rub the Cajun seasoning all over the fillet. Drizzle olive oil on both sides of the salmon.

  2. 2

    Cook the Salmon

Place the seasoned salmon on the grill or pan. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork and is cooked through. Remove from heat and let it rest for a few minutes.

  3. 3

    Toast the Focaccia

While the salmon is resting, slice the focaccia bread in half and toast it on the grill or in a toaster until golden brown.

  4. 4

    Assemble the Burger

On the bottom half of the toasted focaccia, place a generous handful of mixed greens. Top with the cooked salmon fillet and then cover with the top half of the focaccia.

For the Smoky Southwest Aioli

  1. 5

    Mix the Ingredients

In a bowl, combine the mayonnaise, smoked paprika, minced garlic, lime juice, salt, and pepper. Stir until well combined.

  2. 6

    Serve with the Burger

Spread a layer of the smoky southwest aioli on the top half of the focaccia before closing the burger. Serve any extra aioli on the side for dipping.
