Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Blueberry-Thyme Syrup
In a small saucepan, combine equal parts water and sugar (1 cup each). Add a handful of fresh blueberries and a few sprigs of thyme. Bring to a simmer over medium heat, stirring until the sugar dissolves. Let it simmer for about 10 minutes, then remove from heat and let it cool. Strain the syrup to remove the solids and store it in a bottle.
Mixing the Drink
- 2
Muddle the Ingredients
In a cocktail shaker, add the fresh blueberries and gently muddle them with a muddler or the back of a spoon to release their juices.
- 3
Add the Liquids
Pour in the Hendrick's Orbium Gin, blueberry-thyme syrup, and fresh lemon juice over the muddled blueberries.
- 4
Shake the Mixture
Fill the shaker with ice and shake well for about 15-20 seconds until the mixture is chilled.
- 5
Strain into Glass
Strain the mixture into a chilled glass filled with ice, leaving some space at the top.
- 6
Top with Fizzy Brut
Gently pour the Fizzy Brut over the top of the strained mixture, allowing it to mix slightly.
Garnishing
- 7
Add Garnish
Garnish the drink with a lemon wheel on the rim and a couple of thyme sprigs for an aromatic touch.
