Method

Bacon Preparation

  1. 1

    Preheat Oven

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

  2. 2

    Prepare Baking Sheet

Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil for easy cleanup and place a wire rack on top of the baking sheet.

  3. 3

    Season Bacon

In a bowl, mix together the brown sugar, black pepper, and maple syrup. Lay the bacon strips flat on the wire rack.

  4. 4

    Coat Bacon

Using a brush or spoon, coat each strip of bacon with the brown sugar mixture on both sides.

  5. 5

    Bake Bacon

Bake the bacon in the preheated oven for about 15-20 minutes, or until crispy. Keep an eye on it to prevent burning.

  6. 6

    Cool Bacon

Once done, remove the bacon from the oven and let it cool on the wire rack to maintain crispiness.

Basket Assembly

  1. 7

    Prepare Pretzel Bites

In a large serving basket, add the mini pretzel bites as the base layer.

  2. 8

    Chop Parsley

Rinse and chop the fresh parsley finely. This will be used as a garnish.

  3. 9

    Add Bacon

Once the bacon is cool, break it into bite-sized pieces and scatter it generously over the pretzel bites.

  4. 10

    Garnish

Sprinkle the chopped parsley over the top for a pop of color and added freshness.

  5. 11

    Serve with BBQ Sauce

Pour the BBQ sauce into a small bowl and place it in the center of the basket for dipping.

  6. 12

    Enjoy

Serve immediately while the bacon is still warm and crispy.
