Cooking Instructions
Prepare the Pork Chops
Season the pork chops with salt and black pepper on both sides.
Sear the Chops
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the pork chops and sear for about 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown. Remove the chops and set aside.
Add Liquids
Gradually pour in the chicken broth and soy sauce, stirring constantly to avoid lumps. Bring to a simmer.
Combine Chops and Gravy
Return the pork chops to the skillet, cover, and reduce heat to low. Cook for 20-25 minutes until the chops are cooked through and tender.
Cook Rice
While the pork chops are cooking, prepare the rice according to package instructions.
Prepare Green Beans
Steam or boil green beans until tender, about 5-7 minutes.
Toast Garlic Bread
Toast garlic bread slices in the oven or on a skillet until golden brown.
Serve
Serve the smothered pork chops over rice with gravy, alongside green beans, and garlic bread.
