Prepare the Bacon
In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon strips until crispy. Remove and place on paper towels to drain excess fat.

Form the Patties
In a bowl, season the ground beef with salt and black pepper. Divide into two equal portions and form into patties.

Cook the Patties
In the same skillet used for the bacon, cook the beef patties over medium heat for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until medium well.

Add the Cheese
In the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty and cover the skillet to melt the cheese.

Assemble the Burgers
On the bottom half of each burger bun, layer lettuce, tomato slices, pickles, a cooked patty with melted cheese, bacon, mayonnaise, and mustard. Top with the other half of the bun.

Serve
Serve immediately with your choice of sides.
