Prepare the Meat
Rub the brisket and pork shoulder with BBQ rub thoroughly. Let it sit for at least an hour, or preferably overnight in the refrigerator.

Prepare the Smoker
Soak the wood chips in water for at least 30 minutes. Preheat your smoker to 225°F (107°C).

Cook the Sausage
Add the smoked sausage to the smoker for the last hour of cooking to infuse flavor.
Mom's Potato Salad

Mix the Dressing
In a large bowl, combine mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, salt, black pepper, and paprika. Stir until smooth.

Chill Before Serving
Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving to let the flavors meld.
Creamy Coleslaw

Prepare the Vegetables
In a large bowl, combine the shredded cabbage and grated carrots.

Mix the Dressing
In a separate bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, sugar, salt, and black pepper.

Combine Ingredients
Pour the dressing over the cabbage and carrots. Toss well to combine.

Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving.
Steak Fries

Prepare the Potatoes
Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C). Wash and cut the russet potatoes into wedges.

Season the Fries
In a large bowl, toss the potato wedges with olive oil, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.

Bake the Fries
Spread the seasoned potato wedges in a single layer on a baking sheet. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown and crispy, flipping once halfway through.
House Beans

Prepare the Beans
Rinse and drain the canned kidney and black beans. Set aside.

Combine Ingredients
Add the rinsed beans, brown sugar, BBQ sauce, salt, and black pepper to the saucepan. Stir to combine.

Bring to a simmer and cook for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally. Serve warm.
