Method

Preparing the Dough

  1. 1

    Combine Dry Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, salt, and instant yeast. Whisk together until well mixed.

  2. 2

    Mix Wet Ingredients

In a separate bowl, warm the milk until it is slightly warm to the touch (about 110°F/43°C). Add the melted butter and eggs to the warm milk and whisk until smooth.

  3. 3

    Combine Mixtures

Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients. Mix with a wooden spoon until the dough begins to come together.

  4. 4

    Knead the Dough

Transfer the dough onto a lightly floured surface and knead the dough for about 8-10 minutes until it is smooth and elastic.

First Rise

  1. 5

    Let Dough Rise

Place the kneaded dough in a greased bowl, cover with a clean kitchen towel, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until it has doubled in size.

Shaping the Rolls

  1. 6

    Divide the Dough

Once the dough has risen, punch it down to release the air. Divide the dough into 12 equal pieces.

  2. 7

    Shape the Rolls

Shape each piece into a ball by rolling it between your palms. Place the shaped rolls in a greased baking pan, leaving some space between each roll.

Second Rise

  1. 8

    Let Rolls Rise Again

Cover the baking pan with a kitchen towel and let the rolls rise for another 30 minutes, or until they have puffed up.

Baking

  1. 9

    Preheat Oven

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

  2. 10

    Bake the Rolls

Once the oven is preheated, bake the rolls for 15-20 minutes or until they are golden brown.

  3. 11

    Brush with Butter

Remove the rolls from the oven and immediately brush the tops with melted butter for added flavor.

Serving

  1. 12

    Cool and Serve

Allow the rolls to cool slightly in the pan before serving. Enjoy your homemade dinner rolls warm!
